took off. off.while charges are pending this morning... megan gilliland is here with the harsh words his fiancee has for police. good morning guys,tavon court yesterday morning... t when officers placed him under arrest.he had a warrant out for a traffic violation. violation.at that point... we're told he asked to use the restroom... and when the hundcuffs came off... and he took off.williams made it to the parking lot where police say he jumped into a car and tried to run over an officer. fearing for his life... the officer opened fire... hitting williams in the arm.a shooting... that just doesn't make sense to his family. 8:43:23 he don't carry weapons i don't know why they shot him. 8:43:55 i hate it i hate them :57 i hate the police they don't help us they kill us i don't like it itthe officer who shot williams... has been with the department for 38 years.he was not hurt... but has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. williams didn't give up once he was shot... the chase that

"iq: someone located the fire... oq: restaurant staff." stafff"investigators with the state fire marshall are looking for the man in this surveillance video wearing an orange t-shirt and dark shorts.

and police need your help identifying the teens in these pictures. they are accused of setting off fireworks that caused a fire inside the food lion grocery store in pasadena. the boys are between 14 and 15 years old... anyone with information should call anne arundel county police. eight people are sent to the hospital after an apparent carbon monoxide leak downtown. fire crews were called to baltimore city's main post office near east fayette and president street after someone fell inside the building.when they arrived on the scene, they found high levels of carbon monoxide and more than 60 other employees began complaining of symptoms.the leak was traced back to generators outside the building, which were activated during a power outage a few hours earlier. two people are sent to the hospital after a chlorine leek in east baltimore.it happened monday morning.... at the montebello treatment plant onn hillen road.more than a dozen employees were evacuated while fire crews worked to stop the leak. "right now we have a hazmat materials on the scene they did investigate a possible

chlorine leak they did stop a small leak inside the facility." officials are continuing to investigate but say... no one outside the plant was affectedd crews continue to repair that major water main break in downtown baltimore..and it seems they're almost done. done. the largest water main pipes have been reconnected.. which means they'll soon be back on line.. since that break 3 weeks ago, cars have beennre- directed.... and foot traffic has been steady.. but frustrating. police say he threatened on websites... to kill enough people to make national news. police found no weapons in his dorm room, or parents' house. he was barred from campus after his arrest. the main suspect in the tucson shooting rampage... is expected to plead guilty in court today.jared loughner is accused of killing 6 people... and wounding 13 others... including congresswoman, gabrielle giffords.he has spent the past year at a federal prison in missouri... being forcibly medicated and undergoing psychiatric treatment.the plea is expected to happen... if a judge finds him competent to stand trial. another vigil is set for tonight... for the victims of sunday's sikh temple shooting in wisconsin. wisconsin.as ed payne explains... a half-dozen victims... 5 men and woman... were killed in the rampage.and this morning... two others remain hospitalized in critical condition. 3 hundreds turned out for a service and candlelight vigil at a sikh (seek) temple in a town northwest of oak creek. this is one very large

community. we're all one huge family. i think it's a sad day for all of us. the president of the temple in oak creek is among the dead. his son says he courageously tried to stop the gunman, possibly saving lives. i was told by several fbi agents that the blood trails and the evidence that are inside, it's blood evidence that shows a battle had ensued. and then the knife next to his body had blood on it. then blood trails leading from wherever that battle of blood was, one towards the kitchen, one towards the bedroom where my dad laid to rest. authorities say the first officer on the scene -- lieutenant brian murphy -- was ambushed while trying to help a victim. he was shot between eight and nine times during the shooting. they have him resting comforrably and we hope for him to make a full recovery. police say the alleged gunman -- 40 year old wade michael page -- was fatally shot by another officer. authorities say they're investigating whether the army veteran had ties to

income taxes is turning into a political firestorm. democrats have called the presumptive g-o-p presidential nominee a dirty liar. and as dana bash reports... now, the republicans are fighting back with jabs of their own. --reporter pkg as follows- (nats) it's getting increasingly hostile, and personal. i think he's lying about his statement of knowing something about romney. this is what's wrong with -- republicans - trying to turn the tables on harry reid for accusing mitt romney of not paying his taxes for 10 years, with no proof. i'm not going to respond to a dirty liar, who hasn't filed a single page of tax returns himself. in a news conference back in nevada, reid refused to reveal his source - someone he has said is an investor at bain capital - romney's former firm this whole issue is not about

me. mitt romney's the first presidential candidate since his dad ran not to release his income tax returns. this whole controversy will end very quickly if he releases his income tax returns, like everybody else has done. reid's chief of staff david krone tells c-n-n he knows who the source is, but won't tell. i know who this person is, and if i thought this person was not credible, i would say something to senator reid. i would try to shut it down. this person is credible, krone told c-n-n. the democratic leader in the house is fanning the flames too - telling the huffington post, harry reid made a statement that is true. as for republicans - they're now hitting democrats where it could hurt most - the president's credibility, accusing obamas campaign of orchestrating reid's controversial political attack--pointing the finger at obama advisor david axelrod. a spokesman for the republican party noted to c-n-n, reid first accused romney of not paying his taxes last tuesday

hours after axelrod visited senate democrats, r-n-c spokesman sean spicer telling c-n-n, you've got to wonder if the so-called source is axelrod himself. hours after meeting with axelrod, reid comes out and makes baseless accusations. in an email, axelrod called that completely false and said he never had any such discussion. instead of pointing fingers in every direction, they can put the whole matter to rest by simply observing the standard george romney and a generation of candidates have set by releasing the returns, axelrod told c-n-n. the wordds out that he hasn't paid any taxes in 10 years. democratic sources tell c-n-n reid himself initiated the attack on romney, but the sources also dmit the obama campaign is not asking reid to stop. romney has released his tax return from 2010, and an estimate from 2011. he has vowed to release his full 2011 return once it's completed. nasa... and jobs.

because it's not up to the special interests, 3 nasa has sent "curiosity" to mars, but the spacecraft's budget is being spent right here on earth. alison kosik has more on what this means for american jobs. jobs. --reporter pkg-as follows -- "curiosity" is looking for life on mars. but nasa's new rover is already supporting plenty of intelligent life right here on earth. a nasa spokesperson says the spacecraft that just landed on our neighboring planet is propping up 700 jobs. that includes 400 nasa employees-- plus 300 scientists it outsourced. and the research that went into creating the rover meant even more jobs... over the past eight years-- nasa says curiosity has generated 7-thousand jobs. of course, it helps that the project has a massive $2- and-a-half billion dollar
